Celestial Empire

The Celestial Empire was an Aasimar-dominated empire assumed to have administration over the entirety of Empyrean. The empire is understood to have been founded by Anaximander_(person), and is whom the capital city is named after (Anaximander)

There is evidence that some of the known races also existed in the empire, the current known races to have resided in the empire are:

• Human
• Elf
• Dwarf
• Half-Elf
• Gnome
• Halfling

Any races left of the list are not known to have existed within the empire, as there is no evidence of their citizenship or if they were included in writings of the empire. There is no evidence either of whether denizens of the Celestial Empire knew of the races not mentioned above?

The Celestial Empire resides within the continent of Empyrean
Exists for 1000's of years
Ruled mainly by Aasimar, but not unheard of for the other races to be in positions of power
Main ruling class consists of Aasimar
Other races usually servants under Aasimar
The Aasimar are considered the Gods' chosen people to rule the realm
An old tradition of the people is to be granted a name by the Gods after becoming renown or gaining power
In the recent century or so, the Gods haven't been interacting as much, became more passive
The Empire continues to flourish, peaceful times
Some sort of calamity strikes the capital, Anaximander, reports of devils and demons, even dragons strike
Danger slowly spreads throughout the land
Many claim it is because of the most recent Emperor
At some point an advisor of his became corrupted by the Demon Prince Orcus, once Kalarel the Wise now Kalarel the Vile
Many assumed Kalarel was the cause of some of the troubles during the Emperor's rule
Soon people start suspecting the current Emperor
One day, the Gods cursed him, his name forgotten from time, only referred to as "The Black Emperor"
Gods haven't given a name in a long time, especially not a cursed name
Some support the Emperor as this is part of a growing resentment of the Gods
Brief civil skirmishes between factions, then at some point a civil war that is then pacified
Overtime after some peace, eventually the calamity struck, for whatever reason
A barrier is being made to contain some sort of danger
Some flee east to head to Dimitar, the eastern continent
Some try to stay hoping the danger passes or the Empire protects
The barrier is soon erect, people are stuck on the continent
Empire has fallen, people die
